Cursor Third-Party API Configuration

The configuration method is as follows:

  1. Open the Cursor settings screen.

  2. Replace OpenAI's native URL with https://tokenadvent/v1.

  3. Enter your API_KEY.

  4. Click “Add Custom Model” to add the model names supported by your API_KEY. (You need to refer to the names provided by your API provider.)

Note: Before using a third-party API in Cursor, you need to enable Cursor Pro first. Without Cursor Pro, Cursor does not support custom model calls. At the same time, Cursor has serious compatibility issues with third-party APIs (see the newly released official issue: Cursor custom model call issue). If you find that calls still fail even after the configuration is correct, we recommend switching to Codex.
